Captain Andy Platko

Rough House Charters Captain is Andy Platko, son of Captain John. Andy has been fishing ever since he could walk and it has turned into a life long passion.  He has been Captain John's first mate since day one and now he has put his knowledge towards being the Captain of Rough House Charters, Lake Erie fishing charters . His duties on board are to have everything ready prior to the beginning of the trip, and use  his skills and knowledge that he learned from Captain John and fellow charter captains and mates from the area. He sets lines, baits rods, changes tactics to catch more fish, and nets fish. Andy, along with his  first mate Nate or Todd, keep the charter running smoothly and helps make your fishing charter a memorable and fun experience. Andy, Todd, and Nate also fillet your days catch and packages them for the transport home. Andy is a graduate of ITT Technical Institute for Electronic Engineering and is a graduate from CCAC for Nuclear Medicine Technology. He is a  U.S.C.G. Master Captain and a P.F.B.C. Licensed Charter Captain.

One of Rough House Charters First Mate is Captain Todd Redmond. An Erie native, Todd has been fishing for over 25 years and he has great knowledge of the  lake and species that we target. Captain Todd is part of the Rock Bottom Fishing Team, the 2013 EPSFA Tournament team of the year.  He brings a great wealth of fishing knowledge to RHC. Captain Todd also works for Bay Rat Lures, an Erie, Pa lure manufacture which their baits are  specifically designed for the fish targeted on Lake Erie and where other toothy critters live. Todd sets lines, nets fish, and fillets the fish for the ride home.
